The Food Expo and Dairy Expo were organized as concurrent events in association with Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) from the 8th of April to 10th of April 2022.

“This happens to be the first Expo that is happening in the dairy and food sector in the state of Telangana after 2015. In This 3 day event , we have made our whole hearted effort to bring the latest Technologies, New Players, Processing & Packaging Machinery, Supply Chain Management and Allied Industry in the Dairy and Food Sector on to one platform”

The event was inaugurated by ShriMohdMahmoodAliji, Hon’able Home Minister , Government of Telangana along with ShriTalasaniSrinivasYadavgaruHon’able Minister of Animal Husbandary, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Government of Telangana on the 8th of April 2022 at 10:00 am in the presence of Shri K. Bhasker Reddy, President FTCCI and Members of the Industry.

A Conference on Milking Dairy Opportunities with the focus on Production, Quality, Innovations and Packaging Technologies was organized by the expert team of FTCCI lead by Smt T. Sujatha Deputy CEO as part of the event .ShriMohdMahmoodAliji, ShriTalasaniSrinivasYadavgaru, ShriBhasker Reddy Sir and others shed light on the various programs that the state government was undertaking for the development of dairy sector in Telangana and was followed by the discussions of various topics by the experts

The event has seen more than 100 brands displaying their product and services to the thousands of visitors from across the country including a pavilion from Indonesia which displayed various products from their nation. The exhibitors included leading Dairy brands such as Vijaya Dairy, Heritage Milk Products, Dodala Dairy, Milky Mist , Dairy Equipment Manufactures, Packaging Companies and allied industry along with a special pavilion for companies from Indonesia .

The Event has seen a visitor turn out of more than 7000 visitors from across the country which included business heads, manufacturers, and end users, the event has been very successful and well accepted by the industry.

The visitors had a feel of the Diary and Food Industry getting an opportunity to have one to one conversations with the marketing teams and getting hands on samples that were on display . The event has been a Launchpad for many of the new players in the industry who were looking at penetrating the markets in the state of Telangana.

Dairy sector in Tamil Nadu

The State of Tamil Nadu ranks among the top 10 states in the Dairy Production with a market size of aboutr INR 1058 billion in the year 2022 which is expected to grow to INR 2473 Billion by 2028 exhibiting a growth rate of 15.5% CAGR.

With vast reforms that are being implemented by the state goverment to boost the sector, the state has been getting ready for a second white revulation. Many initatives are being set into practice to improve the sector.

The Tamil Nadu Co operative Milk Producer’s Federation (TCMPF) is the apex body in the state that has been set up in a three tier pattern for efficient coordination betten the various milk producers.They have been functioning under the brand name AAVIN.
Programs like support to training and empolyment program for women (STEP), Intensive Dairy development Program have been every useful in boosting the sector. In a first of its type , Swiggy had partnered with AAVIN for doorstep delivery of its products.

Chennai as a good potential of Private dairies and Milk cooperative societes to expolore since most of the milk procurement happens from private sector dairy dairies in this area.

Chennai also is the head quarters for Department of Animal Husbandry and being the 3rd largest city in India has a milk consumption of about 30 lakh liters of milk. It is also home to one of the famous brands of milk and milk products in India and is surrounded by many dairy farms around the city.
